Quadtrick of events to celebrate Boost's 20th Birthday

Last week, Boost Charitable Trust celebrated its 20th birthday and what better way to mark the occasion than with four fantastic and successful fund-raising events:

1.      Boost Cycle Ride – On 5th September, 19 riders took on the challenging 100k cycle route around Winchester and the New Forest for the annual Boost Cycle Ride. All the riders completed the cycle with flying colours and a fantastic pub lunch was enjoyed by all.

2.      Boost Netball Tournament – On 7th September, 28 teams met at The William Perkins School in Chertsey for an all-day netball tournament.  It was a fun day with both ladies and mixed teams competing as well as a raffle and tombola to raise more funds.

3.      Boost White Rose Golf Day – On 24th September, Boost headed up north to welcome 68 golfers to Scarcroft Golf Club for the 3rd edition of the annual Boost White Rose Golf Day. This year, 17 teams participated, making it by far and away the best turnout we’ve had for the day and congratulations to GV&Co for their resounding victory.

4.      St Bride’s vs Boost Golf Day – 2nd October marked the 10th edition of the St Bride’s vs Boost Golf Day, this time at The Drift Golf Club in East Horsley. Following St Bride’s’ comprehensive win last year, the Boost team had a point to prove on their anniversary, and the match certainly lived up to expectations. For the first time in the competition’s history, the ‘Sam Sananes Trophy’ was shared, as the final score ended with a 13 ½ - 13 ½ tie.

It has been a thoroughly enjoyable and stellar month for fund-raising, with the four events raising the best part of £20,000 (and counting!), providing more vital support for the fantastic sports programmes supported by Boost. Both St Bride’s and Boost would like to extend their thanks to all the host venues, the weather for staying dry on each day, and most importantly, to all the people who participated across the events and helped to raise so much money.

In 20 years, Boost has awarded over £2.9 million of grants to sports programmes championing the disabled and disadvantaged. A sensational achievement. Here’s to 20 more years of invaluable grants!

Key Cities - Sale of 54/55 Briggate, Leeds

St Bride’s Managers are pleased to announce the sale of 54/55 Briggate, in Leeds, to a private buyer. Let in its entirety to Signet Trading Ltd (trading as IWC Schaffhausen and Montblanc), 54/55 Briggate occupies a prime position in Leeds’ jewellery quarter. The depth of interest demonstrated a resurgence in investor demand for prime High Street retail assets in the UK’s core regional cities.  For any further information please contact @Patrick Scott or @Tim Burke-Murphy.

Many thanks to our joint agents, Graham Fawcett and Patrick Kilvington @ FMX Urban Property Advisors and Tom Limbert @ Central Retail.

Boost Charity Walk 2025

Next Friday (27th June), St Bride’s Managers, along with 100+ other walkers, will be attempting to complete The Boost Olympic Sports Walk 2025. Starting at the Olympic Park Velodrome, the challenging 22-mile walk will take in the amazing venues at the Olympic Park, before heading south, across the river via the IFS Cloud Cable Car, along the Thames path, and all the way down to Battersea Power Station, before finishing up at the Oval Cricket Ground. We are just hoping the weather cools down somewhat but, regardless, we are excited to get going.

Boost Charitable Trust is a grant-giving sports charity and was set up in 2005. Its mission is to fund and support inspiring programmes which help to improve the lives of the disadvantaged and disabled through the power of sport. Since inception, Boost has been involved with over 70 different types of sport and total grants have exceeded £2.7 million. The focus is on helping people in five main areas: physical and learning disabilities, financial hardship, mental health, social exclusion, and medical research and relief.

If you would like to sponsor us, please visit https://donate.giveasyoulive.com/fundraising/boost-olympic-sports-walk-2025

All the money received by Boost will go directly to the charitable sports programmes, enabling them to support many more inspiring programmes.

We are very much looking forward to what will hopefully be another fantastic day.
